Terms of service
Last updated: July 5, 2026
Plain-language summary: BriteADA is a website widget that lets your visitors adjust how your site is presented to them. It is a tool, not legal advice and not a compliance guarantee. Subscriptions are yearly, refundable within 14 days, and your license stops working when a subscription ends.
1. The service
BriteADA provides a hosted JavaScript widget ("the Widget") that adds visitor-facing accessibility preference controls to websites you operate. Your subscription licenses you to load the Widget on the number of domains permitted by your plan.
2. No compliance guarantee
The Widget adapts the presentation of your website for visitors who choose to use it. It does not modify your website's underlying code and does not make your website conform to WCAG or comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act, the European Accessibility Act, or any other law or standard. You are responsible for the accessibility and legal compliance of your own website. Nothing in the service or our materials is legal advice.
3. Accounts and license keys
Your license key identifies your subscription and controls Widget delivery. Keep it reasonably confidential; anyone with the key can view and change your registered domains. We can rotate a key on request.
4. Billing
Plans are billed yearly in advance through Stripe and renew automatically until canceled. You can cancel any time; the Widget remains active until the end of the paid period. Refunds are available within 14 days of any charge, no questions asked, by emailing hello@briteada.com.
5. Acceptable use
Do not use the Widget on sites hosting unlawful content, resell Widget access outside your plan's terms (agency white-labeling under the agency plan is expressly permitted), or attempt to circumvent license checks.
6. Availability and support
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. The Widget is engineered to fail silently: if our servers are unreachable, your website continues to work normally without the Widget. Support is provided by email.
7. Warranty disclaimer and liability
The service is provided as is. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for legal claims made against your website by third parties.
8. Changes
We may update these terms; material changes will be posted here with a new date. Continued use after changes means acceptance.
9. Contact
BriteADA is operated by BriteAgency, Oneonta, New York. hello@briteada.com.
Note for us, not for show: these terms are a working draft and get an attorney review before general availability.
